Snow Dogs

February 09, 2017  •  1 Comment

I woke up this morning to my dogs whining and crying, which is very unusual for them. Normally my zoo is very quiet in the mornings, but not today. They knew that it had snowed overnight and they wanted at the white, fluffy stuff! I let them out of their crates and they raced upstairs towards the back door. They were jumping and whining and begging me to let them outside. I barely hit the latch and all three of them charged out the door into the fresh, white snow.

For hours my dogs raced and tore around the yard and wrestled with each other non-stop. And when there is snow on the ground it is nearly impossible to get them back inside. My snow dogs had an absolute blast today. It was so much fun watching them play today.

And they're off!

Ben gives the best "boo-boo" eyes!

Turner blends in so well with the snow. She may look like sweet and innocent, but, you can see, she is plotting something devious.

Those eyes . . . "all the better to see you with, my dear" . . .

Total wrestle mania in our yard!

Ben is my perfect snow monster with his icy mask.

I love Ben's expression. Turner may be older, but she can keep up with the rest of them! She uses her body like a battering ram!

Thank you for stopping by!! Cheers!

This is such a great description of your process, and something we all go through. I think we start to polarize so intensely on the work, that we really do start to become blind to it. I turn my paintings upside down when I start a dissatisfied inner dialogue, and confuse my brain into thinking it's seeing something completely different. It works most of the time !
