This evening (the night before Christmas Eve) we traveled over to West Virginia to see Oglebay's Festival of Lights. Unfortunately, it rained for half of our trip, but we made the most of it anyway! We were pleasantly surprised to find out that the park wasn't overly packed! We were able to take our time and see everything! This evening I was experimenting a little with longer exposure with the beautiful Christmas tree lights!
We took our time traveling through the park and got to really appreciate all the beauty! Loved the patriotic display! There were a few times when George drove faster than what my camera and I could keep up with . . .but I loved the effects! ! The boys and I decided to stop at the different gift shops and discovered even more brilliant lights!
Oh look! A llama!
And we had to stop to get some really good shots of the dinosaurs, especially the t-rex!!
We spent a lot of time taking different shots of this tunnel. This one is my favorite. It was taken as we were driving through with a longer exposure. There are many different light exhibits to see! The carousal , unfortunately, had some missing lights, but was still gorgeous! This exhibit always cracks us up. A mamma cardinal feeding her babies looks like she is puking all over them. Totally gross. lol I think that a lot of visitors feel that this exhibit is their favorite! If you ever get a chance to drive through the festival of lights, I highly suggest it! There was one photo I was unable to get because of traffic . . . but if you happen to drive through the festival of lights, make sure you look back after you see the swan in the pond . . . the beautiful reflection is breathtaking!!! Merry Christmas everyone! I hope your day is full of wonder and love!!
